The HP Server Management Packs for Operations Manager 2007 support the Custom Data Manager on Operations Manager remote console running the following operating systems: • Microsoft® Windows Server™ 2003 x64 and x86 Editions SP1 and SP2 • Microsoft® Windows XP™ x64 and x86 Editions SP2 • Microsoft® Windows Vista™ x64 and x86 Editions HP Server Management Pack version 1.0 for Microsoft® System Center Essentials System requirements The following sections describe the system requirements necessary to install and operate the HP Server Management Pack for System Center Essentials 2007. Insight Management Agent requirements The appropriate versions of HP Insight Management Agents must be installed and running on all managed servers. The HP Server Management Pack for System Center Essentials 2007 supports event notifications generated by the following Insight Management Agents: • HP Insight Management Agents for ProLiant Servers, versions 7.50 to 7.90 Management protocol requirements The HP Server Management Pack for System Center Essentials 2007 requires the following management protocols: • SNMP for servers-Required locally on each managed HP server to enable correct operations of the HP Insight Management Agents and to populate System Center Essentials with hardware state information • HTTP-Required to enable tasks in System Center Essentials that access HP SIM, the HP System Management Homepage on individual managed systems, and HP Management Processors HP hardware support The HP Server Management Pack for System Center Essentials discovers and monitors the following HP hardware platforms running HP Insight Management Agents: • HP ProLiant servers o HP ProLiant DL300 series o HP ProLiant DL500 series o HP ProLiant ML series o HP ProLiant BL series (p-class and c-class) Supported operating systems The HP Server Management Pack for System Center Essentials 2007 supports the discovery and monitoring for HP ProLiant servers running the following operating systems: • Microsoft® Windows Server™ 2003 R2 x64 and x86 Editions • Microsoft® Windows Server™ 2003 • Microsoft® Windows Server™ 2003 x64 and x86 Editions SP1 and SP2 The HP Server Management Pack for System Center Essentials 2007 supports the Custom Data Manager on System Center Essentials remote console running the following operating systems: • Microsoft® Windows Server™ 2003 x64 and x86 Editions SP1 and SP2 • Microsoft® Windows XP™ x64 and x86 Editions SP2 • Microsoft® Windows Vista™ x64 and x86 Editions © Copyright 2007 Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P.
