The sequence 2.0.1 denotes a single-ended SCSI controller. The number following 2.0.1 is the address setting for a single-ended device on that controller. For example, the listing 2.0.1.3.0 in the sample device list tells us that there is a single-ended device currently using address 3. If you are using HP-UX 10.X, enter the following at the prompt: /usr/sbin/ioscan RETURN After a few moments the ioscan utility lists all of the SCSI I/O devices it could find.
