HP NetServer LC II, LC 3, LD Pro, LH, LH Plus, LH Pro, LH II, LH 3, LS, LX Pro, LXe Pro, and LXr systems. HP has included this PCI DAC driver on the HP NetServer CD. The Banyan VINES 6.0 Driver Diskette contains the Adaptec AIC 7800 family driver, PCI DAC driver, and the required VINES PCI kernel changes to support the DAC driver. VINES support for the HP Disk Array Controllers (HP/Mylex DAC) VINES 5.54 and 6.0 (and later) supports the HP EISA DAC with a driver that is bundled into the OS. VINES 6.0 (and later) supports the HP PCI DAC with a supplemental driver package. HP has included this PCI DAC driver on the HP NetServer CD. The Banyan VINES 6.0 Driver Diskette contains the Adaptec AIC 7800 family driver, PCI DAC driver, and the required VINES PCI kernel changes to support the DAC driver. ' VINES support for the HP NetRAID Adapter Disk Array Controller VINES 6.0 (and later) supports the HP NetRAID Adapter PCI DAC with a supplemental driver package. HP has included the HP NetRAID driver on the HP NetServer Navigator CD. The driver diskette can be created from the HP NetServer Navigator's "Diskette Library" feature. The HP NetRAID driver is not bundled on the 6.0 Driver Diskette described above. HP NetRAID Adapter Utilities Two utility programs are installed on the system when the HP NetRAID driver is installed. The first utility is the HP NetRAID controller monitor program "megamon". Megamon can be automatically configured to run in the background to monitor the status of all the NetRAID's. It keeps on probing the status of all physical drives on each NetRAID and reports change of status. In order to configure "megamon" to run in the background you must execute these five steps: 1. Exit out of the Service Monitor by entering 4. 2. In the Operator Menu go to system maintenance by entering 10. 3. In the System Maintenance menu go to unix shell by entering 11. 4. In the Unix Shell type the command "megasetup" to modify the ".profile" file. 5. Reboot the system The second utility is the controller configuration program "megaconf". Megaconf can be run from the foreground when the system administrator needs to reconfigure the HP NetRAID controller. In order to run "megaconf" from the foreground you must execute these four steps: 1. Exit out of the Service Monitor menu by entering 4. 2.
