Getting Started Troubleshooting the HP X Server • check /etc/X11/X0devices against template /usr/X11R6/hp/default/X0devices 5. Configured multi-screen workstation produces unexpected behavior • if one or both screens are black, check /etc/X11/X0screens against the template /usr/X11R6/hp/default/X0screens • make certain one full screen entry exists for each card • determine that each Linux_BusID is listed in /proc/dri • check to see that monitor supports specified refresh timing rate • check DISPLAY variable - must be either :0.0 or :0.1 • multi-screen is not Single Logical Screen (SLS) - only the pointer can move between screens; windows cannot. 10 Chapter 1
