English HP PageWide XL High-Capacity Stacker Introductory Information What is it? Where is the user's guide? This accessory for the HP PageWide XL Printer Series can accommodate up to 500 plain paper sheets (80 gsm) of A1/A0 size. Capacity for other paper types or sizes may be lower depending on their density and weight. It can handle all paper types accepted by the printer. This document is a supplement to the main HP PageWide XL Printer Series documentation. It includes legal notices, safety instructions, error codes, power specifications, warranty statement and declaration of conformity. Safety precautions Before using your High-Capacity Stacker, read, understand and follow these safety precautions, and your local Environmental, Health and Safety regulations. You are expected to have the appropriate technical training and experience necessary to be aware of hazards to which you may be exposed in performing a task, and take appropriate measures to minimize the risks to yourself and to other people. General safety guidelines There are no operator-serviceable parts inside the HighCapacity Stacker except those covered by HP's Customer Self Repair program (see http://www.hp.com/go/ selfrepair/). Refer servicing of other parts to your qualified support representative. Disconnect the High-Capacity Stacker from the printer and call your support representative in any of the following cases: • The power cord or connector is damaged. • The High-Capacity Stacker has been damaged by an impact. • There is any mechanical or enclosure damage. • Liquid has entered the High-Capacity Stacker. • There is smoke or an unusual smell coming from the High-Capacity Stacker. • The High-Capacity Stacker has been dropped. • The High-Capacity Stacker is not operating normally. • Take special care with zones marked with warning labels. Mechanical hazard The High-Capacity Stacker has moving parts that could cause injury. To avoid personal injury, take the following precautions when working close to the HighCapacity Stacker. • Keep your clothing and all parts of your body away from the High-Capacity Stacker's moving parts. • Avoid wearing necklaces, bracelets, and other hanging objects. • If your hair is long, try to secure it so that it will not fall into the High-Capacity Stacker. • Take care that sleeves or gloves do not get caught in the High-Capacity Stacker's moving parts. • Do not touch gears or moving rolls during stacking. • Do not operate the High-Capacity Stacker with covers bypassed.
