Removing a Memory Module 1 Prepare the computer and remove the side computer cover. See "Opening the Computer" on page 4. 2 Remove the optical disc drive. See "Removing an Optical Disc Drive" on page 9. 3 Locate the memory socket on the motherboard. 4 Without disconnecting any cables, move any cabling out of the way, if necessary. Removing a Memory Module

Prepare the computer and remove the side computer cover. See “Opening
the Computer” on page 4.

Remove the optical disc drive. See “Removing an Optical Disc Drive” on page 9.

Locate the memory socket on the motherboard.

Without disconnecting any cables, move any cabling out of the way, if necessary.
CAUTION: Do not pull the memory module out of the socket. Use the retaining
clips to eject the module.
