Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. Remove the battery: 1. Turn the computer upside down on a flat surface. 2. On the battery pack, slide the right battery release latch to the left (1), then slide the left battery release latch to the right (2) and hold it. 3. Slide the battery pack (3) away from the computer. To insert the battery, insert the rear edge of the battery into the battery bay and push in until it is seated. Before disassembling the computer, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3.
Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and
then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
Remove the battery:
1.
Turn the computer upside down on a flat surface.
2.
On the battery pack, slide the right battery release latch to the left
(1),
then slide the left battery
release latch to the right
(2)
and hold it.
3.
Slide the battery pack
(3)
away from the computer.
To insert the battery, insert the rear edge of the battery into the battery bay and push in until it is seated.
The battery release latches automatically lock the battery into place.
