Home button board Description Home button board Spare part number 765991-001 Before removing the home button board, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Disconnect the tablet from the keyboard dock (see Releasing the tablet from the keyboard dock on page 25). 5. Remove the tablet cover (see Tablet cover on page 43). 6. Disconnect the battery cable (see Battery cable on page 45). To remove the home button board: 1. Position the tablet with the screen facing downward. 2. Disconnect the home button board cable from the touch board (1), and then pull the cable through the routing path from the front of the back of the tablet (2). 3. Position the tablet with the screen facing upward. 4. Remove the two Phillips PM2.0×3.0 screws (1) that secure the board to the tablet. Tablet components 47

Before removing the home button board, follow these steps:
1.

To remove the home button board:
1.
Position the tablet with the screen facing downward.

Disconnect the home button board cable from the touch board
