Processor To remove the processor, use these procedures. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 19). 2. Remove the access panel (Access panel on page 19). 3. Remove the heat sink (Heat sink on page 33). 4. Remove the fan (Fan on page 24). Remove the processor: 1. Pull the locking lever away from the processor (1), and then rotate the lever to its full open position (2). 2. Raise and rotate the microprocessor retainer to its fully open position (3). Processor 35
