System components include: • EVA4400 dual controller • 4.8 TB to 38.4 TB of Fibre Channel storage; 4.8 TB to 88.4 TB of Fibre Channel and FATA storage • Three DL380 nodes, each with 12GB RAM • DL320 Command View server • Dual Fibre Channel switches • Network switch • Keyboard, Video, Mouse (KVM) switch • Command View EVA • Business Copy EVA for snapshots • SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 9, SP3 (64-bit mode) • HP Clustered File System and Volume Manager software IMPORTANT: Novell® Software Subscription Support Registration. Your product includes three instances of a Novell operating system that must be registered with Novell for software subscription support. Each of the three media kits in your shipment contains a registration card with a unique registration code and registration instructions. To obtain software subscription support, you must register all three codes following the instructions on the cards. Please retain the registration documents for your records. AN59696003 System setup The following system setup is included in the Installation and Setup Service provided with your purchase: 1. Inspect the shipping crate for damage, unpack the system, and install it in the proper location. 2. Power up the power distribution unit (PDU). 3. Configure the Command View server. Set up the server, install Command View and the appropriate licenses, and verify network connections. 4. Verify factory settings. Power up the cluster servers, start the cluster software, and verify that the cluster filesystems are visible on all nodes. Page 1
