Known issues and suggested actions HP strongly recommends that the resolutions listed in this document be applied accordingly to instructions in the resolution documents. Failure to do so might result in issues that can cause disruption to the operation and functionality of HP ProLiant servers. This list is updated as new issues are discovered and resolved. Operational issues • In Deployment Settings, the Browse feature does not function after you have created and saved a profile. Suggested action: To browse the available network file share/FTP OS selections, exit from Deployment Settings and select Deployment Settings again. Reopen the profile and browse the OS selections. • The "Time Remaining" value is not displayed when the Erase Utility is erasing the Active Health System log and onboard NAND flash chip. Suggested action: The process may take several minutes to complete. • The Firmware Update utility does not display the currently installed version of HP Intelligent Provisioning in the HP Intelligent Provisioning Online Update field. Suggested action: To view the installed version number for Intelligent Provisioning, click the System Information icon at the top of any screen in Intelligent Provisioning. • After performing an Intelligent Provisioning SD card installation, installation settings might not display properly. Suggested action: If the installation settings do not appear, you can reset them by using the Windows Control Panel. • The Firmware Update utility does not complete when updating Intel NIC firmware. Suggested action: This is not currently supported in Intelligent Provisioning. • The "Not registered for Remote Support" message appears when unregistering a server from HP Insight Remote Support. Suggested action: The server is unregistered. The message will be corrected in a future release. • SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 SP2 OS does not complete during iSCSI setup and a "want me to fall back" message appears. Suggested action: Manually provide the supported drivers. • The Red Hat Enterprise Linux Recommended installation method is unsuccessful on FCoE setup. Suggested action: Manually provide the supported drivers. • On HP ProLiant ML310e Gen8 v2 and HP ProLiant DL320e Gen8 v2 servers, multiple partition errors occur when using the SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 SP2 and kISO OS Recommended installation method after booting into the kISO with a DVD installation. Suggested action: SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 SP2 kISO OS must be installed outside of Intelligent Provisioning. • A "There are no physical disks attached" error occurs when an iSCSI CNA driver is not available for Linux PE or Windows PE configurations.
