Introduction The HP USB Receipt Printer (model EY023AA) is being transitioned to a newer model, the HP Single Station Receipt Printer (model FK224AA). The new HP Single Station Receipt Printer offers faster print speed (250 mm/sec in monochrome mode versus 130 mm/sec) and is capable of two color printing when the appropriate paper is used. To ensure full compatibility with the new single station receipt printer model, the printer driver should be upgraded. Using the old drivers will not support all the features in the newer model and may cause confusion in regards to which printer you are using. Updating the Driver OPOS Drivers If the installed OPOS driver is version 1.0.1.20 or earlier, the OPOS driver needs to be updated to a later version of the OPOS driver package. If the installed OPOS driver package is 1.0.1.21 - 1.0.1.27, the OPOS driver should be updated to ensure full functionality of the HP Point of Sale single station receipt and hybrid thermal printers. The current release of the OPOS driver is version 1.0.1.28. To obtain the latest OPOS drivers for the HP Single Station Receipt Printer: 1. Refer to http://www.hp.com. 2. Select Support & Driver Downloads from the welcome page. 3. In the search field at the top of the software and drivers download page, enter "HP USB Receipt Printer OPOS." 4. Locate and download the HP USB Receipt Printer OPOS Software and Microsoft Windows USB Device Drivers version 1.0.1.28 Rev. G 26 Sep 2008 or later. Windows Mini-Drivers (Non-OPOS) For non-OPOS environment (Windows mini-drivers) applications, install the Windows printer driver version 6.0.6000.16386 Rev. A26 - Sep 2008 (or later) to fully support the HP Point of Sale Single Station Receipt Printer.
