Running License Manager from the Network Configuration Utility If you already have the NCU software (release 7.71 and higher) installed on your server, click the License Manager button on the NCU Main page to run the HP Integrity Essentials Network License Manager. If you do not have the NCU software installed on your server, install it as follows: 1. Insert the SmartSetup CD that came with your server. 2. At the License Agreement screen, click Agree. 3. At the HP SmartSetup screen, go to the Software tab. 4. Select your server model number on the left side of the screen. 5. In your server Software screen, under the section, "Configuration and Diagnostic Utilities", select HP Network Configuration Utility for Windows Server 2003 on Itanium-based systems. 6. In the NCU screen, read the Release Notes and installation instructions for this utility. Then click the Download button, save the installer file to the desired location, and run it. 7. After NCU installs, its tray icon appears on the task bar of the Windows desktop. Figure 1-1 NCU tray icon 8. Click the NCU tray icon. The NCU Main page appears.
