However, 4 GB DIMMs can be mixed with other sized DIMMs within the same nPartition as long as they are not mixed on the same cell board. NOTE hp Integrity rx7620/rx8620 servers running Microsoft Window Server 2003 currently do not support 4 GB DIMMs. Minimum Operating System Versions rp7420/rp8420: HP-UX 11.11 HWE 0406 rx7620/rx8620: HP-UX 11.23 HWE 0403 Linux Rhel 3 update 2 Firmware Requirements Before installing 4 GB DIMMs on hp 9000 rp7420 and hp 9000 rp8420 servers, the server must be updated to rp7420/rp8420 firmware version 2.0 or higher. To verify that version 2.0 is installed, run the MP sysrev command and verify firmware and programmable hardware versions using Table 1.
