Configuration, management, and monitoring tasks are performed using the Storage Management Utility (SMU) or Command Line Interface (CLI), both of which are embedded in MSA2000-family array controller firmware. For more information about these software utilities, see "Software information" (page 38). Functionality of the two user interfaces is similar, but presented in different console formats. Important tips • If needed, upgrade the MSA2000sa G2 controllers to the latest firmware version before connecting to the switch. • For high availability, two controllers must be installed in each MSA2000sa G2 controller enclosure, and two I/O modules must be installed in each drive enclosure. • When cabling the MSA2000sa G2 controller enclosure, MSA2000 and MSA70 drive enclosures, and HP 3Gb SAS BL Switches, be sure to follow HP recommended best practices to provide a highly available solution.
