Installing the replacement module 1. With the latches in the open position, slide the replacement module into the enclosure as far as it will go. If necessary, press lightly on the top-center of the module to facilitate insertion. Rotate the latches upward to engage the module with the internal connector and then, turn the thumbscrews finger-tight. Reconnect the cables. Verifying proper operation After replacing the I/O module, check the module status. For LED descriptions, see Table 1 (page 1). If the Fault/Service Required LED is amber, the module is not online and likely failed its self-test. Remove and reinstall the module. Updating firmware IMPORTANT: In dual I/O module configurations, firmware does not clone from one I/O module to the other. You must individually update the firmware on each I/O module to the latest version. After installing a new I/O module, verify that the latest firmware is installed on all I/O modules in the enclosure. Go to the HP Support Center website and navigate to the page for your enclosure. If newer firmware is available, download the firmware to your local system and install that latest version on the modules. Installing the replacement module

With the latches in the open position, slide the
replacement module into the enclosure as far as it
will go. If necessary, press lightly on the top-center
of the module to facilitate insertion. Rotate the
latches upward to engage the module with the
internal connector and then, turn the thumbscrews
finger-tight.

Reconnect the cables.
Verifying proper operation
After replacing the I/O module, check the module status.
For LED descriptions, see
Table 1 (page 1)
.
If the Fault/Service Required LED is amber, the module
is not online and likely failed its self-test. Remove and
reinstall the module.
Updating firmware
IMPORTANT:
In dual I/O module configurations,
firmware does not clone from one I/O module to
the other. You must individually update the
firmware on each I/O module to the latest version.
After installing a new I/O module, verify that the latest
firmware is installed on all I/O modules in the enclosure.
Go to the HP Support Center website and navigate to
the page for your enclosure. If newer firmware is
available, download the firmware to your local system
and install that latest version on the modules. For more
