Probable Cause Link failures indicates that the specified port is now disabled because the link on this port had multiple link failures that exceed Fabric Watch threshold on the port. Both physical and hardware can cause link failures. Link failures frequently occur due to a loss of synchronization. Link failures also occur due to hardware failures, a defective small form-factor pluggable (SFP) or faulty cable. Protocol errors indicates CRC sum disparity. Occasionally, these errors occur due to software glitches. Persistent errors occur due to hardware problems. Recommended Check for concurrent loss of synchronization errors.
