Problem Description LED State Probable Cause/Solution The disk enclosure does not power on System Power LED off - Neither power cord is plugged in. - The power switch is not pressed. - AC breaker is tripped. - AC power source has failed. - The PDU/PDRU is defective. - Power switch is defective. - A faulty component is causing power supplies to turn off. Remove all components and reinsert one at a time until the faulty component is isolated. System fault LED is on Power Supply LED off - The power supply is not plugged in. - The PDU/PDRU or primary power source has failed. Part Fault LED on A component has failed. See problem descriptions below. Buzzer sounds when BCC BCC Fault flashing installed BCC DIP switch settings do not match peer BCC switch settings. Reset switches. BCC Fault LED is on BCC Fault on BCC hardware is faulty. Replace the BCC. Fan LED is amber Amber Fan has slowed or stopped. Replace the fan. Power Supply LED is amber Amber - An incompatible or defective component caused a temporary fault. - Power supply hardware is faulty. Unplug the power cord and wait for the LED to turn off. Reinsert the power cord. If fault persists, replace the power supply. 144
