Main Video Features The video graphics accelerator is an S3 Incorporated Trio64© chip which combines a 24-bit RAMDAC, dual programmable clock generators and a high-performance accelerator core in a single device. It also has the following features: • Advanced architecture • Multimedia support • Full software support • Green PC/monitor Plug and Play support • Support for wide range of video resolutions Architecture A 64-bit high performance graphics engine and a 32/64-bit interface to DRAM (up to 2 MB) ensures maximum memory bandwidth. An on-chip 24-bit RAMDAC/clock supports output pixel data rates of up to 135 MHz. Multimedia An add-on multimedia board can be installed in the PC if required, using the feature connector. Before the board can be used, it is necessary to run the FCON.EXE program to enable the feature connector. Software Comprehensive operating system software driver support is provided for Microsoft Windows 3.11, Windows NT 3.5, Windows 95, IBM OS/2 2.11 and OS/2 Warp 3.0. Green PC/Monitor Plug and Play Full hardware and BIOS support is provided for the VESA DPMS (Display Power Management Signalling) protocol.
