HP Vectra VE 5/xx PC Series Main Memory The HP Vectra VE 5/xx PC has two banks on the system board for installing main memory; banks A and B. Each bank consists of two sockets. The PC is supplied with 4 MB or 8 MB of main memory (one or two 4 MB memory modules installed in bank A). It is recommended to install memory modules in pairs, so that each bank with memory installed contains two memory modules of the same size. This enables the bank to be accessed as 64-bit memory, and offers better performance than a bank containing only one memory module (accessed as 32-bit memory). Main memory can be installed up to a maximum of 128 MB. The HP Vectra VE 5/xx PC supports memory interleaving when four memory modules of the same size are installed. Configurations using interleaving will provide the best memory performance.
