To verify which version of the operating system you are running, use the following command in a terminal window: system name:$ swlist Enter If you're running HP-UX 10.20, the result from this command will be: # Bundle (s): B6193CA B.10.20.ACE.2 Workstation ACE for HP-UX 10.20 Instant Ignition systems (systems with preloaded software) have X-Windows, Hewlett-Packard's graphical user interface, and HP CDE installed and configured. If the Instant Ignition system does not have the kernel preconfigured with all of the device drivers, you need to refer to the manual Managing Systems and Workgroups to configure your kernel. For problems or questions with Instant Ignition, refer to Using Your HP Workstation for more information. Note that both of the documents mentioned in the previous paragraphs can be found at the following Uniform Resource Locator (URL): http://www.docs.hp.com/ Chapter 1 33
