HP Installer Kit for Linux: Important Red Hat Linux installation information Your HP Workstation was configured without a Linux Operating System (OS) as you requested. HewlettPackard has offered this solution to allow you more flexibility in installing the Red Hat Linux OS of your choice. To install your Linux OS, you must purchase a Red Hat Linux box set and install the OS according to the following instructions. Supported operating systems Hewlett-Packard supports multiple versions of Red Hat® Enterprise Linux on HP Pentium® 4 and Intel Xeon® Workstations. These versions include: ● SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 11 (x86_64) ● Red Hat Enterprise Linux WS 3 x86 (32-bit). ● Red Hat Enterprise Linux WS 3 AMD64/EM64T (64-bit). ● Red Hat Enterprise Linux WS 4 x86 (32-bit). ● Red Hat Enterprise Linux WS 4 AMD64/EM64T (64-bit). ● Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 Desktop (x86). ● Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 Desktop (x86-64). To provide flexibility in installing the Red Hat OS version of choice, HP has created Installer and Driver CDs. These CDs are included in the HP Linux Installer Kit, and the OS images (the .iso images) for these CDs can be downloaded from the HP support web site at www.hp.com/go/workstationsupport. NOTE: The HP Installer Kit does not include an OS.
