Installing the Card and Software To install the X-Fi card: 1. Turn off your computer and unplug the AC power cable. 2. Open the chassis and remove the rear PCI metal slot cover where you plan to install the sound card. 3. Disconnect the front audio cable from the front audio header on the system board. If your system came with a CD audio cable that connects the optical drive to the system board, disconnect the cable from the system board end only and leave the optical drive end conneted.

Installing the Card and Software
To install the X-Fi card:
1.
Turn off your computer and unplug the AC power cable.
2.
Open the chassis and remove the rear PCI metal slot cover where you plan to install the sound card.
3.
Disconnect the front audio cable from the front audio header on the system board.
If your system came with a CD audio cable that connects the optical drive to the system board,
disconnect the cable from the system board end only and leave the optical drive end conneted.
