The HP Auto Port Aggregation (HP APA) product allows grouping of networking links to form a single high bandwidth, highly available and scalable networking link, called an aggregate interface. HP APA also allows formation of a failover group of networking links connected across switches for an highly available link configuration on the server. For information on HP APA performance and scalability, see http://docs.hp.com/en/7662/new-apa-white-paper.pdf. HP APA exposes logical PPAs (Physical Points of Attachment) corresponding to the 'aggregate' or failover group. PPA is a unique integer identifier for each network physical port installed on the server. In HP-UX 11i v3, the APA PPA values are in the range 900 - 949. APA 103
