Installation Client side 1. Go to www.hp.com. From Customer Support, select Software & Driver Downloads. 2. Select See support and troubleshooting information for product: and type the model number of your thin client into the text box. 3. Press the Enter key or click >> to continue. 4. Locate and download HP XPe Add-On (HP RDP Multimedia and USB Enhancement Software [Client Side]). Follow the instructions in the text file that accompanies the Softpaq to unbundle the compressed files. 5. Locate the Add_HP_RDP_MMR_USB_Enhancements_1.00_A1.exe file. Copy it to a USB drive key, then execute it on the thin client. NOTE: This add-on requires uncompressed free space on the flash memory (Drive C:) and uncompressed free space in the temporary folder. These space requirements must be met in order to successfully deploy this add-on. 1) Space required on the flash memory for installation : 2.0 MB 2) Space required on the flash memory after installation : 1.4 MB (with NTFS Compression) 3) Space required in the temporary folder for installation : 1.6 MB To ensure that the temporary folder always has the required amount of free space for installation, HP recommends that the %TEMP% and %TMP% variables be temporarily re-defined to a network share on the deployment server, and that the setup program be executed from the deployment server. Otherwise, the add-on may fail to deploy correctly. 3
