WARNING - TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK OR INJURY TO PERSONS: • Use SoundSpa only for its intended use as described in this manual. • Always unplug SoundSpa when not in use. • The electrical cord of the SoundSpa cannot be replaced. If it sustains damage, you must stop using the SoundSpa immediately and return it to the HoMedics Service Center for repair. (See the warranty section for HoMedics' address.) • This unit is not a toy. Children should not use it or play with it. To Use SoundSpa 1. SoundSpa operates on either the AC adapter included or on four AA alkaline batteries (not included). TO CONNECT AC ADAPTER: Connect the receptacle end of the adapter cord to the side of the unit. Insert the polarized plug into an electrical outlet. TO INSTALL BATTERIES: Insert four AA alkaline batteries into the compartment on the back of the unit following the diagram inside. 2. Rotate the volume dial to the ON position. 3. Press the OFF/RESUME button. The LED light will illuminate when the unit is on. 4. Adjust the automatic timer to select the desired listening time: 15, 30 or 60 min- utes. Turn the switch to the TIMER OFF position for continuous play. 5. Choose one of SoundSpa's six nature sounds by pressing the corresponding button. 6. Adjust the volume switch, as desired. 7. When finished, either press the OFF/RESUME button located on the front of the unit or turn the volume switch to the OFF position. THE OFF/RESUME BUTTON Press the OFF/RESUME button once to turn off the sound when you're finished listening. Press the button again to resume listening to the same sound at the same volume level. The LED light will illuminate when unit is in use. 6 B Hanging profile C Flat on surface D To detach stand Displaying SoundSpa SoundSpa features three display options. The hanging notch on the back of the unit allows you to fasten SoundSpa to your wall. A standing bracket is included to display the unit standing up (Diagram A). You can also lay the unit flat on your dresser, nightstand or any other flat surface. A Hanging notch Battery Compartment Standing bracket ATTACHING AND DETACHING THE STANDING BRACKET To display SoundSpa standing up, simply attach the standing bracket to the backside of the unit, as shown in Diagram A. Insert the bracket into the notches, located on the back of the unit. Snap the bracket in place by pressing up with your thumbs. To detach bracket, grasp and press down with your thumbs, towards the bottom of the unit (Diagram D). 7
