You have the option of Fig. 8 cleaning your HEPA-Type filters or replacing them, depending on your personal preference. To Clean Your HEPA-Type Filter: • Air purifier should be turned off and unplugged prior to cleaning filters. • Remove the rear grille from the air purifier by pushing down on the release tab at the top of the grille and pulling the grille away from the unit. • DO NOT USE WATER OR OTHER LIQUIDS TO CLEAN THE HEPA-TYPE FILTER. • Remove filters from the unit. DO NOT IMMERSE FILTERS IN WATER. • It is recommended that you use a vacuum cleaner that has a HEPA filter built into it. If a HEPA filter vacuum is not available, you should vacuum your HEPA filter outdoors to keep the particles from getting recirculated in the air in your home. • To vacuum-clean the filter, hold the filter and run a vacuum cleaner with a nozzle or brush attachment along the filter to pick-up the dirt and particles (Fig. 8). Repeat along the entire surface of the HEPAType filter. • Note: The filter may still be discolored even after vacuum cleaning it. This is acceptable and will not affect performance. • After vacuuming the filter, place it securely back into the air purifier housing and snap filter grille into place. • Press and hold the "Filters" button to re-set the indicator light.
