Install spark plug cap over spark plug. Check/replace spark plug (page 28). Clean fuel sediment cup (page 27). Clean or replace air filter (page 25). Clean spark arrestor screen (page 29). Add fuel (page 24). Add engine oil (page 22). Check all circuit breakers for "tripped' position or overload indicator light on. Reduce electrical load on circuit, wait several Set Tripped minutes, and then push to reset circuit breaker. Check cord connection. Replace defective cord set. Check electrical appliance/equipment for defects. Disconnect defective appliance/equipment from the generator. Have appliance serviced by qualified repair facility. Recharge battery. No fuel.
Add fuel (page 24).
Stale fuel.
Drain fuel tank; fill with fresh fuel (page 30).
No or low engine oil.
Add engine oil (page 22).
Spark plug wire (cap) disconnected.
Install spark plug cap over spark plug.
Faulty/bad spark plug.
Check/replace spark plug (page 28).
Fuel not reaching carburetor.
Clean fuel sediment cup (page 27).
Dirty air filter.
Clean or replace air filter (page 25).
Dirty spark arrestor screen.
Clean spark arrestor screen (page 29).
Engine suddenly stops
No fuel.
Add fuel (page 24).
No or low engine oil.
Add engine oil (page 22).
No power at AC receptacle
Electrical overload on generator.
Check all circuit breakers for
“tripped’ position or overload
indicator light on. Reduce elec-
trical load on circuit, wait several
minutes, and then push to reset
circuit breaker.
Poor connection or defective cord set.
Check cord connection. Replace defective cord
set.
Connected electrical appliance/
equipment is defective.
Check electrical appliance/equipment for defects.
Disconnect defective appliance/equipment from
the generator. Have appliance serviced by quali-
fied repair facility.

Recharge battery.
