HZ-510_OM_Rev1.qxd 6/22/06 10:59 AM Page 4 SAFETY FEATURES This heater is equipped with several devices and features for added protection. • A high temperature safety device (Hi Limit) prevents overheating of the heater. • A back-up thermal circuit breaker. • A motor thermal fuse that will shut down the motor should it operate at a higher than normal temperature. • A specially designed rubberized handle, which is cool to the touch and allows you to easily move your heater. TROUBLESHOOTING If your heater shuts off unexpectedly, safety features may have been activated to prevent overheating. If this happens: • Be sure the power cord is plugged into a working electrical outlet. • Check your Desired Temperature setting. The unit may be off because you have reached your Desired Temperature setting. • Check for any obstructions. If you find one, turn the heater OFF and unplug it. Wait at least 10 minutes to allow the heater to cool completely before removing any obstruction. When done, plug in the heater and follow the OPERATION instructions.
