OPERATION (Cont) 7. Please note, the top part of the grille where the heat comes out will get hot. We recommend that you do not touch the grille when in use (Fig. 9). 8. This heater is equipped with a Visual Heat Indicator located on the front of the grille. The Heat Indicator changes from black to red when the grille is hot to the touch. Do not touch the grille until the unit has been turned off and the SafeGuardTM Alert Badge has turned back to black (Fig. 10). Fig. 9 Fig. 10 Helpful Hints • The heater's frame is made of a high quality plastic that is "cool-to-the-touch". However, for safe operation, do not hold bare skin against the grille (Fig. 11). • This heater is equipped with a safety tip-over switch which automatically shuts off the heating element if the heater is tipped forward or backward (Fig. 12). • It is also equipped with a high temperature safety control preventing overheating as well as a safety thermal circuit breaker that will permanently shut down the heater should it operate at higher than normal temperatures.
