5. TROUBLESHOOTING & SERVICE If a minor problem develops, it usually can be remedied quite easily when the cause is identified by using the checklist below. PROBLEM Product does not turn on POSSIBLE REASON 1. Battery is not in product. 2. Battery is not inserted properly. POSSIBLE SOLUTION 1. Insert battery into product. 2. Make sure battery is fully seated in battery cavity. 3. Battery is not charged. 4. Battery is too hot. 5. Internal component damage. 3. Remove and charge battery or replace with second charged battery. 4. Remove battery and let cool for 30 minutes, replace battery and retry or replace with second charged battery. 5. Call for service: 1-800-944-9200 Product turns off Product does not pick up Brushroll will not turn 1. Battery is fully discharged. 2. Battery is too hot. 1. Internal component damage. 2. Dirt cup may be full. 3. Filter may be dirty. 4. Pre-screen may be dirty. 1. Remove and charge battery or replace with second charged battery. 2. Remove battery and let cool for 30 minutes, replace battery and retry or replace with second charged battery. 1. Call for service: 1-800-944-9200 2. Empty dirt cup. 3. Clean and/or wash filter. 4. Remove, clean and replace. 1. Brushroll Obstruction. 2. Motor Protection Device Tripped. 3. Internal Damage. 1. Remove battery and ensure product is turned off. Eject brushroll and clear obstruction. 2. Turn product to off position, product will reset in approximately 30 seconds. 3. Call for service: 1-800-944-9200 Limited TWO Year Warranty (Domestic Use) WHAT THIS WARRANTY COVERS When used and maintained in normal household use and in accordance with the Owner's Manual, your Hoover LiNXTM Cordless product is warranted against original defects in material and workmanship for a full two years from date of purchase (the "Warranty period"). During the Warranty Period, Hoover® will provide labor and parts, at no cost to you, to correct any such defect in products purchased in the United States, U.S. Military Exchange and Canada. HOW TO MAKE A WARRANTY CLAIM If this product is not as warranted, take or send the product to a Hoover® Authorized Warranty Service Dealer along with proof of purchase. WHAT THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER This warranty does not cover battery, charger, attachment tools, brushroll or filter. This Warranty does not cover: use of the product in a commercial operation (such as maid, janitorial and equipment rental services), improper maintenance of the product, damage due to misuse, acts of God, nature, vandalism or other acts beyond the control of Hoover®, owner's acts or omissions, use outside the country in which the product was initially purchased and resales of the product by the original owner. This warranty does not cover pick up, delivery, transportation or house calls. However, if you mail your product to a Hoover® Sales and Service Center for warranty service, cost of shipping will be paid one way. NOTE: See Battery and Charger manual for warranty information on these products. This warranty does not apply to products purchased outside the United States, including its territories and possessions, a U.S. Military Exchange and Canada. OTHER IMPORTANT TERMS This Warranty is not transferable and may not be assigned. This Warranty shall be governed and construed under the laws of the state of Ohio. The Warranty Period will not be extended by any replacement or repair performed under this Warranty. THIS WARRANTY IS THE EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY AND REMEDY. ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE DISCLAIMED. IN NO EVENT WILL HOOVER® BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND OR NATURE TO OWNER OR ANY PARTY CLAIMING THROUGH OWNER, WHETHER BASED IN CONTRACT, NEGLIGENCE, TORT OR STRICT PRODUCTS LIABILITY OR ARISING FROM ANY CAUSE WHATSOEVER. Some states do not allow the exclusion of consequential damages, so the above exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific rights; you may also have others that vary from state to state.
