The surface unit controls improperly set. •Check to see the correct control is set for the surface unit you are using. The drip pans are not set securely •With the controls off, check to make sure the drip pan is in the cooktop. in the recess in the cooktop and that the opening in the pan lines up with the receptacle. Light bulb is loose or defective. •Tighten or replace the bulb. Switch operating light is broken. •Call for service. Plug on range is not completely inserted in the electrical outlet. A fuse in your home may be blown or the circuit breaker tripped.
