How to Light a Gas Surface Burner Make st*re all the surJia e burnel_ are placed in their respective positions, Electric ignition Models: Push the control knob in and tm'n it to the L/TE position. You will hear a little clicking noise--the sound of the electric spark igniting the bm'nel: Turn the knob to at!just the flame size. If the knob stays at L/TE, it will continue to click. \'\]*en one bm'ner is turned to L/T_ all the burnex_ spark. Do not attempt to disassemble or clean around any bm'ner while another burner is on, An electric shock may result, which coukl cause you to knock o_vr hot cookware, Standing Pilot Mode/s: Push control knob ill and turn it to/4/ position. Tile burner shonkl light within a fe',v seconds, Turn the knob to ac!iust the flame size. Flange will be almost horizontal and will lift slightly mvay fi'om the burner when the burner is fii_t turned on. A blowing or hissing sound may be heard for 30-60 seconds.
