Owner Maintenance Daily • Check drive tires. • Charge batteries (or as required). • Check that the seat belt latches and does not show signs of wear. Weekly • Check tire treads and pressure. (Should be 45-50 psi.). • Check that casters are free to pivot. • Check that caster wheels rotate freely. • Check manual brake releases. Release each brake separately to ensure that each disables the drive when released. • Check that chair cannot be driven when PSL is raised and controller is ON. • Check that the rubber boot around joystick is intact. • Check that all seat swivel screws are tight (if so equipped). • Check that the armrest bolts are tight. • Check charger cords and connectors for loose connections, damaged cables or signs of electrical damage. • Check that the seat swivel lock engages and holds (if so equipped). • Clean power wheelchair. (See page 45 for instructions.) A worn or improperly latching seat belt may not properly position you in the seat and can result in serious injury or death.
