WORKING TECHNIQUES • Never put the machine down with the engine running unless you have it in clear sight. If the blades get stuck, they can be loosened by inserting the combination spanner into the gear housing. Basic working techniques • Work with a swinging action from the bottom upwards when trimming sides. • Remove the screw. • Insert the combination spanner into the gear housing and move the blades manually Safety instructions after completing work • Adjust the throttle setting to suit the load. • Hold the machine as close to your body as possible to get the best balance. • The transport guard should always be fitted to the cutting attachment when the machine is not in use. • Make sure the cutting attachment has stopped before cleaning, carrying out repairs or an inspection. Disconnect the spark plug cap from the spark plug. • Always wear heavy-duty gloves when repairing the cutting attachment.
