The window is only accessible if the Enable User Account checkbox is enabled in the Security window. The rack console switch had four regular user accounts defined, with the default names of User1, User2, User3 and User4. The Edit button brings up a window for configuring a username or optional password. The Access button brings up a window for configuring the account's access to attached servers. Enabling and disabling user accounts 1. Access the Security window. If needed, see "Accessing the Security window" on page 37. 2. To enable user accounts, click the Enable User Account checkbox. 3. To disable user accounts, click to uncheck the Enable User Account checkbox. 4. Click OK to save the changes. -orClick X or press Esc to exit the window without saving changes. Configuring a user 1. Make sure that the Enable User Account checkbox is checked on the Security window. 2. Access the Setup window from the Main window, and then click the User button to access the User Setup window. NOTE: Changes made in the any of the windows accessed under the User Setup window are not saved until you click OK. 3. Click the username of the user account to be modified. 4. To configure the username or password of the selected user, click Edit. The User Edit window opens.

Configuring users with the User Setup window
The User Setup window allows the administrator to edit, access, or delete a user account. The
window is only accessible if the Enable User Account checkbox is enabled in the Security window.
The rack console switch had four regular user accounts defined, with the default names of User1,
User2, User3 and User4. The Edit button brings up a window for configuring a username or
optional password. The Access button brings up a window for configuring the account’s access to
attached servers.
Enabling and disabling user accounts
1.
Access the Security window. If needed, see “Accessing the Security window” on page 37.
2.
To enable user accounts, click the
Enable User Account
checkbox.
3.
To disable user accounts, click to uncheck the
Enable User Account
checkbox.
4.
Click
OK
to save the changes.

Esc
to exit the window without saving changes.
Configuring a user
1.
Make sure that the
Enable User Account
checkbox is checked on the Security window.
2.
Access the Setup window from the Main window, and then click the
User
button to access the
User Setup window.
NOTE:
Changes made in the any of the windows accessed under the User Setup window are not saved until
you click
OK
.
3.
Click the username of the user account to be modified.
4.
To configure the username or password of the selected user, click
Edit
. The User Edit
window opens.
