Additional Configuration/Setup Utility menu choices, System Event/Error Log

- Select POST Error Log to view the three most recent error codes and messages that the system generated during POST. Select Clear event/error logs from the POST Error Log menu to clear the Error log. - Select System Event/Error Log to view the System Event/Error log. The System Event/Error log contains all the system error and warning messages that the system has generated. You can use the arrow keys to move between pages in the System Event/Error log. Select Clear event/error logs from the System Event/Error Log menu to clear the Error or Event log. v Save Settings Select this choice to save your customized settings. v Restore Settings Select this choice to delete your changes and restore the previous settings. v Load Default Settings Select this choice to cancel your changes and restore the factory settings. v Exit Setup If you have made any changes, the program will prompt you to save the changes or exit without saving the changes. Additional Configuration/Setup Utility menu choices When you install an optional Remote Supervisor Adapter in your server, you can view additional menu choices in the Configuration/Setup Utility program, such as: v System Card Data on the System Information menu Select this choice to view vital product data (VPD) for some server components. v PCI Slot Information Select this choice to view the properties of adapters that are installed in PCI and PCI-X slots. Important: You must use the menu selections to save custom settings for the PCI Slot/Device Information choice. The Save Settings, Restore Settings, and Load Default Settings choices on the main menu of the Configuration/Setup Utility do not save the PCI Slot/Device Information settings. After making changes, select: - Save and exit the PCI Utility to save the changes and return to the Advanced Setup choice. - Exit the PCI Utility without saving changes to ignore the changes, restore the previous settings, and return to the Advanced Setup choice. You can use PCI Device Control to enable or disable the PCI and PCI-X slots from this menu. The default setting is Enable for all the PCI slots. If you select Disable, the system will not configure the disabled device, and the operating system will not detect the device. (This is equivalent to unplugging the device.) v Administrator Password Select this choice to set or change the administrator password. v Remote Control Security Settings Select this choice to set a remote-control password. Additional Configuration/Setup Utility menu choices

view additional menu choices in the Configuration/Setup Utility program, such as:

Important:
You must use the menu selections to save custom settings for the
PCI Slot/Device Information

choices on the main menu of the Configuration/Setup
Utility do not save the PCI Slot/Device Information settings.
After making changes, select:
Save and exit the PCI Utility
to save the changes and return to the
Advanced Setup
choice.
Exit the PCI Utility without saving changes
to ignore the changes, restore
the previous settings, and return to the
Advanced Setup
choice.
You can use
PCI Device Control
to enable or disable the PCI and PCI-X slots
from this menu. The default setting is
