Operating environment Move away from buildings, and use the transceiver in an area with an open sky. • Extended your arm horizontally, and raise your thumb. • Turn your body around 360 degrees with your arms extended.
Make sure that there are no obstacles such as buildings or trees at higher than about 8 degrees. 360° 8° 360° 2. Checking the signal strength Confirm the antenna icon is displayed, and the connection with a satellite is established. 3. Receiving Hold the transceiver with its antenna straight up and pointing to the sky. Do not push [PTT] while receiving signal. 4.
