NS-19RTR 19" DVD Triple Combo Troubleshooting General Problem No power Remote control does not work TV/VCR Mode Possible solution • Make sure that the power plug is connected to an AC outlet. • If power has failed, check the breaker. • Replace the batteries. Make sure that you match the + and - symbols in the battery compartment. • Make sure that you aim the remote control at the remote sensor. The operable range of the remote control is between 10 feet (3 m) and 23 feet (7 m) depending on the angle. • Remove all obstacles to clear the path of the infrared signal. • Check the infrared signal output. • Press the INPUT button to select the correct video mode. Problem Possible solution Poor or no picture when watching TV • Make sure that the antenna is connected correctly. • Check the antenna cable for bent or broken pins. If necessary, replace the cable. • Check for sources of reception interference. • Press the INPUT button to select the correct video mode. • Scan for available TV channels. • Try another TV channel. If reception is good, there may be a problem with the original station's broadcast signal. • Adjust picture controls, such as color, contrast, and brightness. • Make sure that there are no appliances nearby that generate a magnetic field.
