Insignia NS-HD2114 DVD Shelf System Problem There is no sound from the speakers. The disc skips during play. Invalid display on the screen. Possible cause Solution The audio cables are not connected. Reconnect the audio cables. The volume control is turned down. The shelf system is incorrectly connected to the amplifier. The disc or lens is dirty. Strong shaking or vibrations. The disc is scratched or distorted. Incorrect operation. Increase the volume. Reconnect the system using the illustrations at the beginning of this User Guide. Clean or replace the disc, or clean the lens. Place the shelf system on a flat and stable surface without vibration. Replace the disc with a new one. Try making settings again. Reset the system by unplugging it, then plugging it in again. Maintaining your shelf system Note The mechanical part of this shelf system contains self-lubricating bearings and must not be oiled or lubricated. Cleaning the case Wipe with a soft cloth. If the case is very dirty, moisten the cloth with a weak solution of non-caustic detergent and water. Cleaning discs Using a soft cleaning cloth, wipe the disc from the center outwards. Caution Do not use solvents such as benzene, thinners, commercial cleaning fluids, or anti-static sprays designed for vinyl records. 26 www.insignia-products.com
