Intel Desktop Board D945GCLF Product Guide LAN Wake Capabilities CAUTION For LAN wake capabilities, the 5 V standby line for the power supply must be capable of delivering adequate +5 V standby current. Failure to provide adequate standby current when using this feature can damage the power supply. LAN wakeup capabilities enable remote wake-up of the computer through a network. The LAN subsystem monitors network traffic and upon detecting a Magic Packet* frame, it asserts a wake-up signal that powers up the computer. Wake from USB NOTE Wake from USB requires the use of a USB peripheral that supports wake from USB. USB bus activity wakes the computer from an ACPI S1 state. Wake from PS/2 Keyboard/Mouse PS/2 keyboard/mouse activity wakes the computer from an ACPI S1 state. PME# Wakeup Support When the PME# signal on the PCI bus is asserted, the computer wakes from an ACPI S1 or S5 state. Battery A battery on the Desktop Board keeps the values in CMOS RAM and the clock current when the computer is turned off. Go to page 36 for instructions on how to replace the battery. Real-Time Clock The Desktop Board has a time-of-day clock and 100-year calendar. The battery on the Desktop Board keeps the clock current when the computer is turned off. 20
