B Regulatory Compliance This appendix contains the following regulatory compliance information for Desktop Board DG35EC: • Safety standards • European Union Declaration of Conformity statement • Product Ecology statements • Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) regulations • Product certifications Safety Standards Desktop Board DG35EC complies with the safety standards stated in Table 16 when correctly installed in a compatible host system. Safety Standards Regulation CSA/UL 60950-1, First Edition EN 60950-1:2006, Second Edition IEC 60950-1:2005, Second Edition Title Information Technology Equipment - Safety - Part 1: General Requirements (USA and Canada) Information Technology Equipment - Safety - Part 1: General Requirements (European Union) Information Technology Equipment - Safety - Part 1: General Requirements (International) Place Battery Marking There is insufficient space on this Desktop Board to provide instructions for replacing and disposing of the Lithium ion coin cell battery. For system safety certification, the statement below or an equivalent statement is required to be permanently and legibly marked on the chassis near the battery. CAUTION Risk of explosion if the battery is replaced with an incorrect type. Batteries should be recycled where possible. Disposal of used batteries must be in accordance with local environmental regulations. A suitable caution label is included with Desktop Board DG35EC.
