Intel® Server System SR1550AL 7.2.1 Power / Sleep LED Mini Control Panel Table 42. SSI Power LED Operation State Power Off Power On S5 S4 S3-S1 S0 Power Mode Non-ACPI Non-ACPI ACPI LED Off On Off ACPI Off ACPI Slow blink 1 ACPI Steady on Description System power is off, and the BIOS has not initialized the chipset. System power is on, but the BIOS has not yet initialized the chipset. Mechanical is off, and the operating system has not saved any context to the hard disk. Mechanical is off. The operating system has saved context to the hard disk. DC power is still on. The operating system has saved context and gone into a level of low-power state. System and the operating system are up and running. Notes: 1 Blink rate is ~ 1Hz with at 50% duty cycle. 7.2.2 System Status LED Table 43. Control Panel LED Operation Color Off Green/ Amber State N/A Alternating Blink Criticality Not ready Not ready Green Solid on Green Blink Ok Degraded Amber Blink Non-critical Amber Solid on Critical, nonrecoverable Description AC power off Pre DC Power On - 15-20 second BMC Initialization when AC is applied to the server. Control Panel buttons are disabled until BMC initialization is complete. System booted and ready System degraded Unable to use all of the installed memory (more than one DIMM installed). Correctable errors over a threshold of 10 and migrating to a spare DIMM (memory sparing). This indicates that the user no longer has spared DIMMs indicating a redundancy lost condition. Corresponding DIMM LED should light up. In mirrored configuration, when memory mirroring takes place and system loses memory redundancy. This is not covered by (2). Redundancy loss such as power-supply or fan. This does not apply to non-redundant sub-systems. PCI-e link errors CPU failure / disabled - if there are two processors and one of them fails Fan alarm - Fan failure. Number of operational fans should be more than minimum number needed to cool the system Non-critical threshold crossed - Temperature and voltage Non-fatal alarm - system is likely to fail Critical voltage threshold crossed VRD hot asserted Minimum number of fans to cool the system not present or failed In non-sparing and non-mirroring mode if the threshold of ten correctable errors is crossed within the window Fatal alarm - system has failed or shutdown DIMM failure when there is one DIMM present, no good memory present Revision - 1.3 51 Intel order number D31982-006
