This manual contains important safety and operating instructions for Models 9002AX01 and 9002AX02 vehicle power adapters. 2 Before using the power adapter, read all instructions and cautionary markings on the power adapter, the battery, and the product using the battery. 3 CAUTION: To reduce risk of injury, use with only Intermec CN70, CN70e, CK70 or CK71. Use of this product with other devices may cause injury to persons and damage. 4 Do not expose power adapter to rain, moisture, or snow. 5 Use of an attachment not recommended or sold by Intermec may result in a risk of fire, electric shock, or injury to persons. 6 To reduce risk of damage to power adapter connector and cord, pull by power adapter connector rather than cord when disconnecting power adapter. 7 Make sure that cord is located so that it will not be stepped on, tripped over, or otherwise subjected to damage or stress. 8 Do not operate the power adapter with a damaged cord or power adapter connector - replace it immediately. 9 Do not operate power adapter if it has received a sharp blow, been dropped or otherwise damaged in any way; take it to a qualified service person. 10 Do not disassemble power adapter; take it to a qualified service person when service or repair is required. Incorrect reassembly may result in a risk of electric shock or fire. 11 To reduce risk of electric shock, unplug power adapter before attempting any maintenance or cleaning. 12 Internal voltage regulation within the CN70, CN70e, CK70, or CK71 computer limits the voltage supplied to charge the Model 1000AB01 or 1001AB01 battery. Do not charge batteries in a modified or damaged CN70, CN70e, CK70, or CK71 computer, doing so may result in risk of battery explosion or fire. 3
