Invacare® Homecare Beds 5.3 Operating the Semi-Electric Bed Models 5310IVC and 5311IVC Before placing the bed into use, test the bed by operating it through all phases of its operation. 1. Perform the following: • Use the four function pendant for head and foot spring operations. • Use the hand crank for Hi/Lo bed operation. 2. If any problems arise during the test, recheck all electrical connections and mechanical hook ups. All semi-electric beds come with an emergency crank to allow the bed to be lowered in the event of a power outage. Raising and Lowering the Head and Foot Sections E F 1. To raise the head of the bed E, press the "Head Up" button A. 2. To lower the head of the bed E, press the "Head Down" button B. 3. To raise the foot of the bed F, press the "Foot Up" button C. 4.
