Attaching Brackets to the Bed End Floor Base Bed End Upper Bracket Lower Bracket Locking Pin Lanyard Position the lower bed bracket G in the center of the bottom bed frame L. The lower bed and upper bed brackets K MUST be positioned as close to the center of the bed as possible without interfering with the bed drive shaft M. 1. Position the lower bed bracket G in the center of the bottom bed frame with the tubular hook I facing up. Make sure that there is no interference between the lower bed bracket and the bed drive shaft M. 2. Tighten wing nuts J to secure lower bed bracket onto bottom bed frame. 3. Position the tubular hook of the upper bed bracket K so it rests on the top rail of bed end with the tubular hook facing down. 4. Securely tighten the wing nuts to secure the upper bed bracket to the top rail of the bed end. 3.3 Installing the Trapeze DANGER! Risk Of Death or Injury To avoid risk of falling or other injuries: - DO NOT INSTALL OR ADJUST TRAPEZE OF AN OCCUPIED BED. - DO NOT attach swivel trapezes to the floor base. This may cause the floor base to tip over. - Floor Base MUST be positioned under the bed at the headboard position. When using the floor base F in conjunction with a bed L, the long legs of the floor base should slide under the bed. 1. Install the upper bracket K and lower bracket G onto the floor base F or bed end L. Refer to Attaching Brackets to Floor Base, page 2 or Attaching Brackets to the Bed End, page 3 . 2. Put the lower offset bar N through the clamp on the upper bed bracket and through the socket in the lower bed bracket. 3. Securely tighten the wing nut O on the clamp on the upper bed bracket to hold the lower offset bar in place. 4. Put the upper offset bar P onto the insert bar Q that is welded onto the lower offset bar. 5. Make sure the upper offset bar is fully seated. 6. Place the lock pin R through the holes in the upper offset bar and insert. 7. Secure the D-loop S around the pin. 8. Secure the lanyard Z through the lock pin loop and through the upper offset bar. 9. Adjust the height and/or position of the trapeze. Refer to 3.4 Installing/Adjusting the Grab Bar, page 3 . 3.4 Installing/Adjusting the Grab Bar Height 1. Position any of the lower chain links T onto the "S" hook U. Position 1. Loosen trapeze key V by turning counterclockwise. 2. Slide the clamp W to desired position on the upper offset bar P. 3. Secure the trapeze clamp to the offset bar by turning the key clockwise. 1180736-B-01 3

Position the lower bed bracket

2.
Tighten wing nuts

to secure lower bed bracket onto bottom
bed frame.
3.
Position the tubular hook of the upper bed bracket
K
so it rests
on the top rail of bed end with the tubular hook facing down.
4.
Securely tighten the wing nuts to secure the upper bed bracket
to the top rail of the bed end.
3.3 Installing the Trapeze
DANGER!
Risk Of Death or Injury
To avoid risk of falling or other injuries:
DO NOT INSTALL OR ADJUST TRAPEZE OF AN
OCCUPIED BED.
DO NOT attach swivel trapezes to the floor base. This
may cause the floor base to tip over.
Floor Base MUST be positioned under the bed at the
headboard position.
When using the floor base

the long legs of the floor base should slide under the bed.

Install the upper bracket

Put the lower offset bar

through the clamp on the upper bed
bracket and through the socket in the lower bed bracket.
3.
Securely tighten the wing nut

on the clamp on the upper bed
bracket to hold the lower offset bar in place.
4.
Put the upper offset bar
P
onto the insert bar

that is welded
onto the lower offset bar.
5.
Make sure the upper offset bar is fully seated.
6.
Place the lock pin
R
through the holes in the upper offset bar
and insert.
7.
Secure the D-loop
S
around the pin.
8.
Secure the lanyard

through the lock pin loop and through the
upper offset bar.
9.
Adjust the height and/or position of the trapeze. Refer to 3.4
Installing/Adjusting the Grab Bar, page 3 .
3.4 Installing/Adjusting the Grab Bar

Position any of the lower chain links

Slide the clamp
