Problem Gun leaks from fluid nozzle. Paint emerges from needle packing. Too much overspray. "Orange peel" finish (textured instead of smooth). Possible cause Foreign substances between fluid nozzle and needle. Needle packing is damaged or missing. Gun too far away. Excessive fluid. Excessive air pressure. Nozzle too large for project. Insufficient air pressure for proper atomization. Fluid too thick. Applying fluid at an angle. Remedy Disassemble and clean nozzle and needle. Replace packing. Move gun closer to work surface. Reduce fluid flow. Reduce air flow. Try smaller nozzle kit. Increase air flow. Thin the fluid and retry. Apply perpendicular to work surface.
