Pressing once more re-engages it. ● In case of a power failure after programming, the VCR's memory backup keeps your selections for approximately 60 minutes. ● When timer-recording cable channels received through a Cable Box, be sure to keep the Cable Box set to ON. ● It is not possible to timer-record the same programme on both the VHS deck and the DV deck simultaneously. ● If the times that are programmed for recording on the DV deck and on the VHS deck overlap, the earlier start time takes precedence. If the start times are the same, the VHS deck takes precedence. 5 6 INPUT RECEIVING CHANNEL NUMBER The Guide Channel Number, which is assigned GUIDE CHANNEL SET to the TV or cable station for the PlusCode number GUIDE CH: 12 VCR CH : - - - that you entered in step 4, will appear automatically on the Guide Channel Set screen. Input the number PRESS NUMBER KEY (0-9) OR (5,∞), THEN (OK) PRESS (PROG.) TO END of the channel on which the broadcast for the PlusCode number is received on the VCR or cable box using the NUMBER keys, CH +/- or %fi, then press OK. ● The Guide Channel Set screen appears only when you input the PlusCode number of a station for which the Guide Channel number has not previously been set. ● If you receive your channels with a cable box and if you have properly set your Controller, "CABLE CH" appears in place of "VCR CH". If not, refer to pages 15 - 17. CHECK PROGRAM DATA The PlusCode number you entered and the matching VHS PROGRAM 1 (VCR PLUS+ 12345678) Timer-Recording information is displayed on the Program screen. Check to START 8:00PM DATE 12/24/00 STOP = 10:00PM CH 12 SP make sure it's accurate. THU PRESS (8=DAILY, 9=WEEKLY ● To change the stop time, STOP+/- = STOP TIME, SP/EP) PRESS (OK) TO END press STOP +/-. ● To timer-record daily or weekly serials, press DAILY (NUMBER key "8") or WEEKLY (NUMBER key "9"). "DAILY" or "WEEKLY" appears on the Program screen. Pressing the button again makes each corresponding display disappear. ● If you made a mistake, press CANCEL to access the VCR Plus+ screen again and input the correct PlusCode number. ● If the PlusCode number you inputted is incorrect, "ERROR" may appear on the screen to advise you of the error. This happens when the PlusCode number is for a program which has already passed. "ERROR" is displayed for about 5 seconds and the VCR Plus+ screen reappears. SET TAPE SPEED 7 Press SP/EP (SP/LP for the DV deck). RETURN TO NORMAL SCREEN 8 Press PROG. or OK. "PROGRAM COMPLETED" appears on the screen for about 5 seconds, then normal screen appears. If "PROGRAM NOT COMPLETED PROGRAM OVERLAP" appears on the TV screen, see page 47. ENGAGE TIMER MODE 9 Press TIMER. The VCR turns off automatically and "‰" is displayed on the display panel.
