The buttons performs different functions depending on how long you press them: Duration of press Tap Press the button briefly Double tap Press Press the button briefly two times within 0.5 seconds Press the button approximately 1 second Press and hold Press the button approximately 4 seconds Play music (Some phones may require you to start a media player first)* - Tap the Multi-Function button. Pause music - Tap the Multi-Function button - tap again to resume playing. Answer a call when playing music - Tap the Multi-Function button and the music will be paused and the call will be connected.
