HEADSET/ SPEAKER MICROPHONE/ CLIP MICROPHONE WITH EARPHONE INSTRUCTION MANUAL PRECAUTIONS This product is exclusively for use with KENWOOD transceivers. To prevent possible accidents and damages, do not attempt to use this product with other types of transceivers. Mishandling may cause the accidents and damages to this product. Please observe the following prohibitive matters. • Do not expose the speaker/ microphone to long periods of direct sunlight, nor place it close to heating appliances. • Do not drop the speaker/ microphone; strong impacts can damage the internal components. • Do not over stress the speaker/ microphone cable by pulling on it with excessive force. • Keep the volume as low as possible to protect your hearing. OPERATIONS To Install 1 Turn the transceiver power OFF. For transceivers that are able to adjust the volume level, adjust the volume to the minimum setting before turning the transceiver power OFF. 2 Insert the plug into the speaker/microphone jacks on the transceiver. 3 Attach the microphone and earphone to the appropriate position. 4 Turn the transceiver power ON and adjust the volume level. To Transmit 1 Press the PTT switch and speak into the microphone. 2 Release the PTT switch to return to receive mode. © 2015 B5A-1080-00

OPERATIONS
To Install

Turn the transceiver power OFF.
For transceivers that are able to adjust the volume level, adjust the volume to the
minimum setting before turning the transceiver power OFF.

Insert the plug into the speaker/microphone jacks on the transceiver.

Attach the microphone and earphone to the appropriate position.
4
Turn the transceiver power ON and adjust the volume level.
To Transmit

Press the PTT switch and speak into the microphone.

Release the PTT switch to return to receive mode.
